I love people, words, color, music, and the messy, beautiful work of being human. I’m drawn to conversations that make me think differently, laughter over a plate of soul food, and the particular feeling of being near the coast.

Southern roots, maximalist spirit, Aries fire. I want my work and my life to leave room for joy, honesty, and connection.

Open-minded & open-hearted.

I’m a Black biracial woman from Brunswick, Georgia, with Gullah Geechee roots. I’m also a researcher, writer, speaker, and creative producer. Those parts of my life are connected: I care about people’s stories, the conditions they live within, and the ways we learn to understand one another.

I earned my PhD in Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics at the University of Georgia, where I also completed my master’s in Applied Consumer Analytics and bachelor’s in Consumer Journalism. My research examines mindsets, inequality, identity, and collective well-being— what it means for people to do well together.

My work has taken me into nonprofit research, classrooms, public conversations, community gatherings, and documentary production. I’ve worked with Oxfam America, Habitat for Humanity International, United Way, and other research and nonprofit teams. I’m interested in work that can move between careful analysis and the experiences that give it context.
